1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
3/4 cup ketchup
3 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, onion, and green pepper; drain. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, mustard, ketchup, and brown sugar; mix thoroughly. Reduce heat, and simmer for 30 minutes.
NOTE: to make it even quicker, buy bulk hamburger and "fry" it in the crock pot seasoned as you choose; drain and pack in freezer bags. When ready to make Sloppy Joes, take a packet of hamburger out and heat it in the skillet or toss in the crock pot.
