Garlic Mashed Potatoes

 

2 large potatoes, peeled, cut in quarters
2 cups milk
2 cloves (large) fresh garlic, chopped
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp each salt, pepper


      Cook potatoes in boiling water 20 - 25 minutes,

 or until tender.  Drain.

  Meanwhile, add milk and garlic to a saucepan;

 cook over low heat about 25 minutes,

 or until garlic softens.  Add milk,

 garlic and remaining ingredients to potatoes. 

 Mash until smooth.
