Apple Brownies


2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sugar
4 medium apples, chopped
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. each baking soda, baking powder
1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon

      Heat oven to 350ºF (175ºC).  Cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and beat until creamy.  Add dry ingredients sifted together.  Stir thoroughly.  Add apples.  Bake in 9x13" pan about 40 minutes.  Do not overbake.  Makes 12 - 15 servings.
Note:  Brownies may look and feel like they're not done.
