Crockpot Beef Stew



2 lb. stew beef
1 onion, sliced
2 stalks celery, cut in chunks
3 carrots, cut in chunks
4 or 5 potatoes, cut in chunks
1 can mushrooms (optional)
2 tsp. Salt
2 tbsp. Sugar
2 tbsp. Tapioca
1 can (large) tomato juice, 46 oz.


       Place ingredients in crockpot in sequence given; cover tightly, let cook all day. 
Makes 8 servings.
