Spritz Cookies

 

I make these cookies every year durin the holidays.. I have a cookie press and I make wreaths , tree's etc.. So Cute and Taste So Good !

 

1 cup butter or margarine

3/4 cup white sugar

1egg

2-1/4 cups  all-purpose flour

pinch of salt

1 tsp. almond flavoring

1/2 tsp. vanilla 

       Heat oven to 375º F (185º C).  Cream butter and sugar; add egg and flavorings.  Sift flour and pinch of salt.  Combine with creamed mixture; mix well.  Fill cookie press with dough; press into shapes.  Decorate with candied fruit and/or cinnamon candy.  Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until set and lightly baked.

*Note*

 Can vary coloring of decoration candy to suit the season of year... green for summer, green and red for Christmas, black and orange for Halloween, etc.
