Southwestern Beef & Bean Burger Wraps

As with any recipe, make it you own, if there is something you don't like , leave it out or add what you do like in it's place..

3/4 lb. (12 oz,) ground beef

1 cup refried beans

1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 tbsp. chopped pickled jalapeños

1  avocado, peeled, pitted

1/2 cup each salsa, shredded pepper Jack cheese

1/8 tsp. garlic powder

4 floured tortillas , warmed (see Note)

2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce

1 lime, cut into 4 wedges

tomato, opt.

Position oven rack in upper third of oven; preheat broiler.  Coat a broiler pan with cooking spray.  Gently combine ground beef, beans, cilantro and jalapeños in a medium bowl (do not overmix).  Shape into 4 5x2" oblong patties and place on pan.  Broil patties until an instant-read thermometer inserted into center reads 165°F, 12 - 14 minutes.  Meanwhile, mash avocado, salsa and garlic powder in a small bowl.  Place tortillas on a clean work surface.  Spread each with guacamole, sprinkle with lettuce and cheese.  Top with a burger and roll into a wrap.  Serve immediately, with lime wedges.

Notes:
To warm tortillas:  Wrap in foil; bake at 300°F until steaming, about 5 minutes.  Or wrap in barely damp paper towels and microwave on High 30 - 45 seconds.
