Pepper Steak

I love this dish, I have made it many years and you never get tired of it...

1 tsp. sesame oil, or whatever you have on hand

1/2 medium onion, sliced (1 cup)

2 medium green bell peppers, sliced (about 3 cups)

1 can drained chestnuts

2 medium tomatoes, diced

1 tbsp. chopped fresh ginger or 1 tsp. ground ginger

3 cloves (medium) garlic, crushed

1/2 lb. sirloin steak, cut into 2x1/2" strips

2 tbsp. light soy sauce

Heat sesame oil in wok or heavy skillet. When wok is smoking, add onion, green pepper, chestnuts, ginger and garlic. Stir-fry 3 minutes. Add meat and stir-fry 1 minute. Add soy sauce and stir-fry 3 minutes. Add tomatoes at last minute,  Remove to a plate. Do not wash wok; use it to stir-fry cooked rice.
