Homemade Boiled Custard


Homemade always taste better  :)
 
1 qt.            milk

3                 whole eggs

3/8 cup       sugar

1 tsp.           vanilla, optional

       Scald milk.  Beat eggs thoroughly and strain.ace  Add sugar to eggs.  Beat
 
small amount of hot milk into egg mixture.  Add egg mixture to milk slowly and
 
 cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until spoon is coated.  Add vanilla, if
 
desired.  Strain and refrigerate.  Makes 6 servings.

Note  Milk is scalded when it makes a coating on the spoon – before it boils.
