Weiners In Tomato Sauce

 

Growing up I remember my mom making this dish often.. it was cheap and very filling. 

It is good over potatoes or rice, But just as good by itself :)

Easy to make as much or as little as you want. Kids will love it!

 

2 pkgs. Weiners

1 onion, chopped

2 small cans tomato sauce

2 or 3 Tbsp. oil

 

in a skillet add oil, and onions, stir just till soft then add weiners that have been cut into round pieces, crossways.

 

Let the weiners brown some then add the tomato sauce and about a 1/4 ( tomato sauce can ) of water and let simmer until it cooks down to a thickened sauce.
