My Best Beef Stew

 
 
1 lb. Beef Stew Meat
4 Carrots
4 potatoes
Salt, Pepper, garlic powder
1 bay leaf
1 12 oz. bottle of Beer, your choice
 
Barely cover bottom of a pressure cooker with oil.
 
Season meat to taste with the salt, pepper and garlic powder and dust in flour, Add to hot oil in  pressure cooker. Sear till browned but not done.
 
Add Veggies and bay leave then add beer. Stir to deglaze bottom of pan..
 
Put the lid on and set the jiggler to 10 lb pressure for 10 minutes, take the jiggler off and let the steam escape. make sure your hans/arms are awy from the vent.
Do Not Open While HOT..
 
If your in a hurry you can set the pot in the sink and slowly run cold water over the lid till the steam stops.. Turn water off before opening..
 
JUST BE REALLY CAREFUL WHEN USING PRESSURE COOKERS!
 
This is great served with cornbread..
