Hush Puppies with a kick!


 1½  cup  Yellow Cornmeal 

 ½   cup  Flour  

 2½  tsp  Baking Powder 

1 tsp. salt

 ½   tsp  Pepper

 1   cup  Milk


 1        Egg  ,beaten

 3   tbl  Vegetable oil 

 ¼   cup  Onion,diced fine  

 ¼   cup  Jalapeno Peppers, diced fine  
  
 

Mix dry ingredients.  Add remaining ingredients and stir until blended.

Using a spoon heaping portions of the mixture into hot deep fat (350°).

Fry each hush puppy about 3 or 4 minutes until golden.

Turn once during cooking.  Drain on paper towels.

Makes About 30 Hush Puppies.
