Doughnut French Toast

4 glazed doughnuts
1/2 cup milk (I had almond on hand)
1 egg
few dashes of cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
enough cooking apray

Heat a large skillet over med- to med-high heat.  Slice doughnuts down center so you have 8 halves.  Whisk remaining ingredients (minus cooking spray) in a pie plate.  When skillet is hot, spray with cooking spray, dunk doughnut halves in milk and egg mixture, coating each side well, place in the skillet.  Cook until each side is golden brown, but still soft in center.  Makes 4 servings.
**If you're making this French toast recipe without doughnuts, add in 3 - 4 tbsp. sugar.
