1/4 cup seedless raisins, soaked until plump
In blender and add:
1 can (small) tomato sauce
1 cup water
3 tbsp. each Worcestershire® sauce, brown sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper

Simmer until it reaches desired thickness, then adjust sweet-tart flavor. Can use ordinary white button mushrooms in this, or a selection of 'wild' mushrooms, such as shiitake, oyster or portobellos. Either way, a combo of mushrooms and toasted hazelnuts has to be one of the best natural taste combos around!
