Garlicky Green Beans

2 lb. fresh or frozen green beans, cut to 1" pieces
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil 
      Place beans in a saucepan; cover with water; bring to a boil.  Cook, uncovered, 8 - 10 minutes, or until crisp-tender.  In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in oil until tender.  Drain beans; add to onion mixture.  Cook and stir 2 - 3 minutes, until heated through.
