1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 can (10-3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup catsup
2 tbsp. Worcestershire® sauce
1 tsp. mustard
1/2 soup can each water, milk
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
4-1/2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
to taste: salt and pepper
In a large skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Add onion; sauté with ground beef 3 - 4 minutes. Mix soup, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, 1/2 can each water and milk. Add to ground beef and mix thoroughly. Simmer about 5 minutes. Add cheddar and Parmesan cheeses; stir until melted. Add cooked macaroni, simmer 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Makes 6 servings. (may vary depending on kids' ages)
Note: This is a great dish for kids! Add other ingredients to enhance the flavor, such as mushrooms, Swiss cheese, French-fried onions, green or red bell pepper.
