Soft Pineapple Cookies

 
1 cup each brown sugar, white sugar, shortening
 
2 eggs

4 cups flour

1 tsp. soda

1/2 tsp. salt

 
1 can crushed pineapple

optional: Nuts (your choice)

 
       Heat oven to 350ºF.
 
  Cream both sugars with shortening. 
 
 Add eggs alternately.
 
  Combine dry ingredients and add, beating.
 
  Stir in pineapple and chopped nuts. 
 
 Bake on a lightly-greased sheet 8 - 10 minutes.
