Quick Spanish Beef Rice

 

3/4 pound ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1 cup rice, uncooked (not instant)

1 teaspoon chili powder (or to taste)

Dash of black pepper

1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes

1 3/4 cups water

Brown beef and onion. After beef is browned add uncooked rice and let
 
brown a little. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil. Cover
 
and simmer for 25 min. Makes 4 servings.
