Diabetic Applesauce Fruitcake


1½ cups unsweetened applesauce

½ cup cooking oil

1 large egg, well beaten

2 tablespoons liquid artificial sweetener or 2 tablespoons plus 1
 
teaspoon

powdered sweetener

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon soda

2 tablespoons cocoa

¼ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground cloves

½ cup raisins

½ cup chopped dates

½ cup nuts

Combine first four ingredients. Mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Dough will be stiff.
Bake at 325° in well greased loaf pan for 35 minutes
