Country Sausage,Bizkits and Gravy

 
I know it may look hard if tyou have never done it,
but really it isn't..

For the Bizkits:
 
2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
 
4 teaspoons baking powder
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
3/4 cup milk
 
1/2 cup frozen butter, grated on large grater
 
 
For the Sausage Gravy:
 
3  Breaakfast sausages, crumbled
 
1 tablespoon flour
 
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
 
1 cup milk
 
1/4 cup onion, chopped
 
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
 
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Bizkits:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
 
In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt .
 
Add grated butter and cheese and mix it in well.
 
Add the milk bit by bit until dough ball forms.
 
Knead it just until the dough becomes ball without crumbles.
 
Let it stand for couple of minutes.
 
Roll the dough on floured surface to 1 inch thickness.
 
 With cookie cutter cut circles and place them on covered tray with parchment paper.
 
Pop to oven for 12-15 minutes or until biscuits are puffed.For the
 
 
Gravy:
 
Preheat oil in a skillet to medium high heat, add sausage and let it brown wslightly for 2-3 minutes.
 
 salt and pepper.
 
 Mix in flour until well incorporated in oil.
 
Then add milk and mix well, let it thicken for minute or so.
 
Assembly:
 
Cut biscuit in half, cover the halves with sausage / gravy.
