2 hour buns

 
 
1 ½ pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
¼ c. sugar
1 egg
Beast these ingredients together in a 4 quart bowl, until foamy. Add 2 tablespoons shortening, ½ teaspoons salt and 3 ½ cups bread flour. Mix and knead just enough to blend well. Let rise until double in bulk. Make the buns and place in cake pans. Let rise again and bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
