Caramel Nut Pound Cake

 

Cake:
4 sticks butter 
1 box brown sugar 
1 cup granulated sugar 
5 eggs 
3 cups flour 
1/2 teaspoon salt 
1/2 teaspoon baking powder 
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts

Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease well and flour a Bundt Pan.

Cream first 3 ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Combine dry ingredients and add alternating with 1 cup milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Put 2/3 batter into prepared pan. Add mixture of 1/4 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 1 cup chopped nuts. Cover with remaining batter. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

Glaze:
4 tablespoons butter 
3 tablespoons milk 
1/2 cup brown sugar

Boil 1 minute. Add 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract and enough confectioners' sugar to make a glaze.
